CDC Diabetes Prevention Program Coming To Lexington
Saint Joseph Diabetes and Nutrition Center is bringing the CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program to Lexington.
The program offers a classroom setting that teaches people who are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes how to make healthy lifestyle choices including eating right, getting exercise, and losing weight.
Trained lifestyle coaches lead 16 one-hour sessions, then participants meet once a month for support in maintaining healthy habits.
The classes will meet Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30pm beginning on May 28th at the Education Center at Saint Joseph East Medical Office Building, 160 N. Eagle Creek Drive, Suite 200.
Participants must have pre-diabetes or be at high risk.
