Hospitality House Elizabeth Place Supported By SCWC

The Scott County Women’s Club celebrated a record breaking year in both attendance and funds raised during their 21st Annual Derby Party Thursday night at Shady Breeze Farm.

Organizers said more than 250 people attended the fundraiser that supports four local charities including Amen House, Quest Farm, Georgetown Child Development and Hospitality House – Elizabeth Place.

SCWC said they aim to raise more than $25,000 each year at this event.

Hospitality House – Elizabeth Place’s Executive Director Stacey Cruse opened in January. She said everyone there works as a volunteer and the house is entirely community supported.

The Elizabeth Place project is home for women and their children who do not have a safe place to stay. The goal of the program is to help women become self sufficient.
