UPDATE: Thirteen Animals Die in Barn Fire in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – More than a dozen animals died in a barn fire Wednesday afternoon on Muir Station Road in Fayette County, according to fire investigators.

Firefighters say 12 pigs and a chicken perished in the fire, which began shortly after 3:00 p.m.

No humans were hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
