DUI Charge After Man Found Passed Out in Car on I-75
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Laurel County Sheriff John Root says a man is in the Laurel County Detention Center after he was found passed out in his car in the median on I-75.
The Sheriff says deputies received a complaint call about the car near mile marker 34 – about 4 miles south of London – at about 6:15 a.m. Sunday morning.
The responding deputy says he found 34-year-old Jeffery Hubbs passed out in the driver’s seat, with his vehicle running on the median against the concrete separation barrier.
The deputy says he was able to get Hubbs out of the vehicle, and smelled a strong odor of alcohol. The Deputy says he was able to determine that Hubbs was still under the influence, and says Hubbs told him that he had been “drinking beer all night” at a friend’s house, and was on his way home.
The deputy says Hubbs was unable to say where he was or what direction he was traveling.
Hubbs was charged with DUI and taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
