LPD: Man Crashes into Two Homes, Arrested For DUI

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A man is behind bars for driving under the influence after he crashed into two homes, according to Lexington Police. Officers say 54-year-old Mario Smoot drove into two townhomes Sunday morning on Liberty road and Ellison court.

First responders found a car under the deck of those two town homes, police say. Officers report no injuries, and a small amount of damage to the homes including an HVAC unit the car ran over.

In addition to DUI, Smoot faces charges for driving without a license and registered plates.
