Lundy’s Hosts 30th Salvation Army Thanksgiving Dinner
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Thursday, Lundy’s Special Events once again broke out plenty of turkey and trimmings for a free dinner at the Salvation Army on West Main Street.
This is the thirtieth year for Lundy’s to provide the free holiday meal to families, individuals, and children who find themselves without a table to gather around.
“This has become our Thanksgiving tradition,” said Jerry Lundergan, “We have had the opportunity to work hard and be successful and this is our way to give back to our community. What started as a way for Charlotte and I to set an example for our five daughters and the importance of helping those who might just be down on their luck, has now entered three generations of our family”
“To see my grandchildren, alongside my daughters, just shows that this is what the holiday is all about, we are so blessed to be part of the Salvation Army family, I can’t think of any other place we would want to be,” said Jerry Lundergan
Lundy’s Special Events was founded in 1970, and has grown to become a nationally recognized special events off-premise catering and production company.
