“It’s a Rivalry and it Feels Like That.”

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Remember when UK and UofL played the first or third game of the season?  It set the tone for the rest of the year and often gave fans bragging rights no matter what happened down the stretch..

Now, the Battle for the Governor’s Cup is the last game of the regular season…after Thanksgiving.  So just how big is it?

UK could win its 7th game of the year.  Louisville is looking to bounce back after falling 36-10 at Houston, dashing any hope of being in the college football playoff for the Cards.

There has been plenty of bad blood through the past few seasons.  Two years ago in the Ville, there was plenty of pregame action on the field.  Last year, it was the emergence of quarterback Lamar Jackson off the bench…after Josh Forrest chucked the ball in to the stands following a pick six.
