UPDATE: Lexington Man Charged in October Murder

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington man has been charged with murder in connection to a body found near a Richmond subdivision back on October 8th.

34-year-old Reginald C. Branch was arrested Thursday evening and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.

Investigators say Branch killed Arnold Ford in the early hours of October 8.

The body of Arnold R. Ford of Lexington was discovered off of Lexington road near the Boones Trace subdivision in northern Madison County by a passing motorist..

State Police say the body a Lexington man was discovered near  a Richmond subdivision early Saturday morning.

The body of Arnold R. Ford of Lexington was discovered off of Lexington road near the Boones Trace subdivision around 7 a.m.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of death. Ford was 47 years old.

Authorities say they were initially told by a motorist somebody was laying in the ditch or that it may have been some kind of halloween prank.

Upon further investigation the motorist discovered it was a deceased body.

Investigators are asking people in the area if they saw or heard anything suspicious to give them a call.

Ford’s body was sent to Frankfort to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
