Green County Lawyer Charged with Theft

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a Greensburg attorney was arrested Wednesday morning on Hyde Park Road in Campbellsville on theft charges.

Officers say 70-year-old Danny Butler has been charged with theft by unlawful taking and theft by failure to make required disposition over $10,000 dollars.

A Hardin County grand journey returned an indictment after hearing evidence related to mishandled client funds and escrow accounts.

Search warrants were executed at Butler’s home and business office.

Butler was taken to the Hardin County Jail.

Troopers are asking anyone who may have been a victim as a client of Butler’s to call.
