FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Franklin County Sheriff is asking for help from the public in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery Monday night.
According to the Sheriff, at about 8:20 p.m., deputies were called to the Evergreen Market on Evergreen Road in reference to the robbery.
When deputies arrived, they say the store clerk told them that a woman came into the store wearing a white hat with sunglasses. The clerk further told deputies that she appeared to have had her face and arms covered in white paint or powder.
Deputies say the clerk told them that the woman pointed a handgun at him and demanded money from the register, saying she would shoot the clerk if he didn’t hand it over.
