One team, one goal

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It was UK women’s hoops media day.

Head coach Matthew Mitchell and the Cats took time before practice to meet and greet the good folks covering the team this season.

Kentucky returns a group of “core 6” as Mitchell refers to the remaining players from last season’s turmoil and mass departures.

UK has added some depth by adding some more homegrown talent and a few walk-ons as well.

Everyone wants to be a part of the program who is here now.  They all want to be successful and they’re bonding early to come together as one.

That’s good to hear.  It’ll be crucial for the Cats to compete as one solid group without a wealth of super talent as usual, it’s all about energy and effort and Kentucky has both in bunches.
