Driver Hits Hydrant And Takes Off
A driver hit a hydrant Monday morning, flooding the streets in a Lexington neighborhood.
Police said the water flooded the streets on Marcellus Drive and Emerson Drive.
Officers were able to track down the car involved but could not find the driver.
They impounded the car.
Kentucky Utilities was finally able to get the water turned off but not before large amounts of water pooled in yards and on the streets.
However, no damage was reported.
