Keeneland Shop debuts Merchandise Pavilion for 2016 Fall Meet
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Keeneland Shop will unveil an all-new Merchandise Pavilion featuring a wide assortment of Keeneland-branded apparel and accessories for patrons to commemorate their race-day experience during the 2016 Fall Meet, to be held Oct. 7-29.
The Merchandise Pavilion, conveniently located near the track’s Grandstand East entrance, will be open race days from 10 a.m. ET until 30 minutes after the final post.
“Keeneland is excited to present the Merchandise Pavilion, an exclusive new shopping experience unlike anything we’ve offered before,” Keeneland Director of Retail Kyle Cassin said. “Guests will be able to browse a number of limited-edition items available only during the Fall Meet.”
The 4,000-square-foot, climate-controlled Merchandise Pavilion will carry premium branded and locally sourced products from more than 30 apparel and accessory vendors.
Popular apparel and headwear brands such as AHEAD USA, Imperial Headwear, Gear for Sports, Vineyard Vines, Peter Millar, Smathers and Branson, Tucker Blair, Southern Proper, Spirit Shirts, Under Armour and Garb will be represented.
Customers can immediately personalize their Keeneland ball caps and select metals accessories via an on-site embroidery and engraving station.
Unique accessories and gift items too will be featured in the Merchandise Pavilion from Tournament Solutions, Sterling Cut Glass, Haas-Jordan, Kitty Keller, Tervis, Oxford Pennant, Forever Collectibles, Aurora, Signs by the Sea and Jack Rudy Cocktail Co.
Also showcased will be local Kentucky-crafted products from Henry Dry Goods, Gents Original, Julep Candle C., Lexington Coffee & Tea, Bauer’s Candies and Rebecca Ruth Candies.
Keeneland will offer a complimentary bag check service in the Merchandise Pavilion, which will allow shoppers to retrieve their purchases at the end of the race day.
The Merchandise Pavilion is one of three venues available for visitors to shop at Keeneland during the Fall Meet. The Keeneland Shop, located near the South Gate, is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. The popular Milliners Corner also returns this fall on Fridays through Sundays, offering hats and fascinators from a variety of milliners, including celebrity designer Christine A. Moore. Milliners Corner sits adjacent to the Walking Ring and is open every race day from 9 a.m. until the final race.
Keeneland conducts racing Wednesday-Sunday during the Fall Meet. Gates open at 11 a.m.; first post is 1:05 p.m.
