UPDATE: Coroner releases name of victim in fatal Woodford Co. crash

VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Woodford County Coroner has released the name of the victim in a fatal collision Monday night in Woodford County.

The coroner says the victim is Darinel Ricon Hernandez.  According to the coroner, Hernandez is originally from Mexico, but was living in Lexington

Ashley Ishmael, the driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash, was taken to UK Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The investigation into the accident continues.

One person is dead and another was taken to the hospital Monday night after a collision on US 421 near Moores Mills Road in Woodford County.

Troopers say 23-year-old Ashley Ishmael was driving a black Ford passenger car westbound on Leestown Road when she crossed the center line into the eastbound lanes and hit a silver Hyundai passenger car.

Ishmael was taken to UK Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.  The other man, who remains unidentified was pronounced dead at the scene by the Woodford County Coroner.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
