Police: Mom Flees Home With Meth Labs, Leaves Kids

Police said a Knox County mother fled from her home, leaving behind two young children and active meth labs.
Barbourville police said they went to the home after arresting the children’s father in the parking lot of a store.
They said officers spotted a car with baggies, pills, cash and cold packs laying in the seat.
When they searched the car, they said they discovered meth-making materials and arrested two people.
They said that led them to the home of one of the suspects, Larry Dye.
When they arrived, his wife, Amy Dye, crawled through a hole in the floor of the home and fled, leaving her two small children inside according to police.
She was found hiding under the trailer and arrested.
Police said the home and attached garage had active meth labs inside.
