Closures scheduled for Georgetown and Fourth Streets in Lexington
The closures are necessary for the intersection reconstruction of Georgetown Road/Fourth Street and Newtown Pike. In addition, the sanitary sewer line will be rebuilt in the center area of Fourth Street.
On Monday, April 8 at 8:00 a.m., Georgetown Street will close from Booker Street to Newtown Pike. Detours will be in place that follows Georgetown Road to New Circle Road to Newtown Pike.
Fourth Street will have lane closures from Henry Street to Newtown Pike. The lane closures will occur at varied intervals/one lane will remain open at all times. Motorists can utilize Jefferson Street to Main Street to Newtown Pike.
The road and lane closures will be in effect for approximately 30 days. These closures will not affect Newtown Pike.
