LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The win over South Carolina put Kentucky at 2-2 on the season, 1-1 in SEC play and 1-1 in the East division.

It was a needed win, as we mentioned over the weekend, it was Mark Stoops’ biggest win here in Lexington.

With the way the season started and the negativity building, Stoops admitted the victory over the Gamecocks was huge and certainly a needed one.

The Cats themselves said they wanted to play their best for Stoops Saturday.  There was a little something more to the game and they knew it.
