Murray man arrested on gun, drug charges

MURRAY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a convicted felon, arrested after being found with numerous guns, is now facing drug trafficking charges as well.

Troopers say 48-year-old Ray Powers was arrested on Sunday after being found in possession of 18 long guns, 8 hand guns, body armor, explosives, and a considerable amount of ammunition.

As of Tuesday, police say Powers has now been charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Powers has been taken to the Calloway County Jail.  No mugshot was immediately available.
