LPD: Lexington man accidentally shoots friend

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – No charges have been filed at this time after a Lexington man accidentally shot his friend on Wednesday.

Police say they were called to the 1300 block of Dix Drive to investigate a shooting.  When they arrived, they say they found a 28-year-old man inside a home suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Officers say the victim was conscious, and was able to answer some questions.

Police believe that the victim’s friend was playing with a gun, and accidentally shot the victim.

Investigators say the two have been cooperating with police.
