Superintendent: Student Brought Toy Gun To School
A Madison County Middle School student is in trouble after the district said he brought a toy gun that ‘had a very real look to it’ to school Tuesday.
Tommy Floyd, the superintendent of Madison County Schools said the staff at the school was made aware of a possible weapon in the building, and they called Richmond Police. That’s when Floyd said the toy gun was found.
A letter was sent home to parents to remind them that even toy guns can be scary at a time like this, and that even a toy gun is not allowed on campus. The district said the students in question will face appropriate disciplinary consequences.
