Suspicious activity report leads to meth possession arrest
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A London woman has been arrested on possession charges after police received a suspicious activity call at K&K Storage on Tobacco Road.
Officers say they received the call about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, about a woman who had managed to open the storage facility’s gate, gone inside, and was talking to herself.
When officers arrived and found the woman, 42-year-old Jessielene Wagers, they say she was hyper and that her eyes were constricted.
Police say she grew even more nervous when asked if she had taken any drugs. She also refused to give consent to search her vehicle, according to investigators.
A K-9 unit, however, detected narcotics from the outside of the car. When officers searched her vehicle, they say they found a small baggie with methamphetamine residue under the driver’s seat. They say they also found needles in a large envelope stuffed with papers and pantyhose.
Wagers was arrested on a possession charge and taken to the Laurel County Detention Center.
