Fayette Co. students pitch business plans

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – High school students in Fayette Co. showed off their business acumen at a Junior Achievement event on Tuesday.

At the “JA Bluegrass Apprentice” event, students came together to present business models to a panel of entrepreneur judges from the Lexington area as part of the “JA Be Entrepreneurial” program.

Students had a chance to pitch ideas for new business ventures in a “Shark Tank” style competition.

Junior Achievement strives to foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.
