97-year old man killed in collision in Floyd County

MINNIE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A deadly collision temporarily closed a busy intersection in Floyd County on Tuesday.

Floyd County Deputy Coroner Chuck Hall says 97-year old Maryland Conn, Junior was killed in a collision with a dump truck at the intersection of KY 680 and KY 122.

Conn was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:25 p.m., according to Deputy Coroner Hall.  No other injuries were reported.

The accident is under investigation by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.

The road has since reopened.
