Deputy discovers loaded firearms on fleeing suspect
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Franklin County Sheriff says a foot pursuit ended with multiple charges for a Frankfort man.
According to the Sheriff, a deputy was patrolling around the Waffle House off of Versailles Road at about 3:00 a.m. and saw a man who appeared to be unconscious in a vehicle in the parking lot. The deputy says he went to the car and asked the man for his ID. That’s when the man took off running, according to the deputy.
After a short pursuit, 18-year-old Armeon F. White was arrested. According to the Sheriff, the deputy discovered White was carrying two loaded handguns.
The Sheriff says White was already on probation on charges of possession and trafficking of a controlled substance, as well as unlawful transaction with a minor. As a result of this latest incident, White was also charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, fleeing or evading police, and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
