LPD: Man stabbed, possibly by girlfriend

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Lexington Police say officers responded to a stabbing that occurred on Loudon Avenue, at approximately 1:23 p.m. on Wednesday.

Police say a 30-year-old man was found with a laceration on his abdomen. Officers say the man and his live-in girlfriend both stated he was stabbed by an older man, in his 50’s or 60’s, who had run away.

Detectives say further investigation led them to believe the claim was false, and that the girlfriend may have stabbed her boyfriend in self defense.

No further details have been released, about the incident or if any charges have been filed.
