9 people displaced after apartment fire
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Nine people are out of their homes after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Lexington Tuesday night.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews were called just after 8:30 p.m. to Beaumont Farms Apartments on Beaumont Centre Lane. When firefighters arrived, they could see flames coming from the roof of a three-story building.
Fire officials say the call was quickly upgraded to a working fire as crews worked to put out the flames and safely evacuate residents from the building. The fire was eventually brought under control, and no injuries were reported.
Officials estimate nine people from three apartments were displaced by the fire.
An investigator is still on scene working to determine what caused the fire and where it started.
