82-year-old man dies in Lexington crash, coroner says

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — An 82-year-old man has died after a single-vehicle crash in Lexington, according to the Fayette County Coroner’s Office.

In a release, the coroner identified the victim as Jerry Woodall. Officials say the crash happened on Sunday night at the intersection of Keeneland Boulevard and Versailles Road. Woodall’s vehicle reportedly left the roadway and hit a tree.

He was pronounced dead just before midnight from multiple blunt force injuries. The manner of death has been ruled an accident.

The case remains under investigation by the coroner’s office.
