Danville PD: Wanted man arrested after running from officers

DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- Danville police say a wanted man was arrested after he tried to run from officers.

Investigators say it happened Saturday night on Hillcrest Drive. They say police went to the 700 block to serve active warrants on 41-year-old James Baker III. According to investigators, someone at the home told them Baker was not there.  Officers say they later saw Baker running out the back door.

Investigators say there was a brief foot chase before Baker was arrested. Police say he’s facing several charges, including Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine.) They say 40-year-old Marvin Duane Loveless was also arrested at the home on drug charges.
