KSP & Cash Express team up for Cram the Cruiser

HENDERSON, Ky. (KSP) – The Kentucky State Police Post 16-Henderson and Cash Express have teamed up for “Cram the Cruiser.” This Friday, December 11, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., a KSP cruiser will be at Cash Express located 2215A US 41 North in Henderson for the event. During this time, people are encouraged to “cram our cruiser” with non-perishable food items.

The food will be distributed to local shelters, churches or other organizations serving those in need during the holiday season. Suggested donations include canned fruit and vegetables, canned meat, macaroni and cheese, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, canned soups, chili or spaghetti sauce, brownie and cake mixes, coffee, water, powdered milk and juices.

The Kentucky State Police kicked off their sixth annual “Cram the Cruiser” food drive on Friday, November 20. The campaign extends through December 11, 2015 and is designed to collect non-perishable food items for families in need. KSP Post 16, 8415 US 41 South, is a food collection site.

Statewide, during the 2014 campaign, the KSP collected more than 232,000 pounds of food.
