I-75 in Rockcastle Co. to close for bridge repairs

London, Ky. (WTVQ) – Drivers will not be able to use Interstate 75 in Rockcastle County on Tuesday to allow for bridge repairs.

According to Kentucky State Police, crews will be seting bridge beams for the KY 1505 bridge reconstruction project.

The closure will begin at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday and will reopen by 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

State Police says all southbound lanes, along with the left northbound lane, will being closed to traffic.

Drivers traveling on I-75 south will detour via Exit 76 (Berea) onto U.S. 25 and reconnect with I-75 in Mt. Vernon.

On Thursday, crews will perform a series of rolling road blocks on all northbound lanes beginning at approximately 10 a.m.

State Police says these rolling road blocks will last approximately 15 minutes and will occur periodically throughout the day.

The date and duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays.
