I-75 crash kills driver, crash still under investigation

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Fayette County Coroner has identified the victim in a fatal crash on I-75 on Saturday, October 8.

The coroner says the victim was 36-year-old Jason L. Washer.

Police say Washer lost control of his vehicle and crashed near exit 120 just after 8:00 a.m.

Police are investigating an early morning single-vehicle crash on I-75 South that killed one person.

Investigators say it happened near exit 120 Saturday.

The driver lost control, crashed near the exit and the car caught on fire, according to police.

The driver who has not been identified was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is still under investigation.
