Teen hospitalized following shooting

Madisonville, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 15-year old was sent to the hospital this weekend, after Kentucky State Troopers say a Sheriff’s deputy had to shoot him.

The shooting happened in Madisonville on Saturday morning.

Trooper say the 15-year-old was speeding on I-69 when Sheriff’s deputyies in Hopkins County tried to pull him over.  After a chase and crash, troopers say the boy sped up in the direction of the deputy that shot him.

The teen is at Baptist Hospital in Madisonville where trroper say he is in stable condition.
