7-foot-1 Miami (OH) transfer center Reece Potter commits to Kentucky

OXFORD, Oh. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – A familiar face is heading back to the Bluegrass State. Lexington native and former Lexington Catholic standout, Reece Potter, is returning home after spending his first two collegiate seasons at Miami (OH).

During his time with the RedHawks, Potter appeared in 56 games and averaged 6.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.1 assists in just under 16 minutes per game. He shot an efficient 45.4% from the field and an impressive 39.8% from three-point range.

Before his college career, he was a key leader at Lexington Catholic, where he captained the team during his senior season in 2022–23. That year, he averaged 17.9 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

Potter will have two years of eligibility remaining.
