6th annual Sporting Art Auction to be held Sunday at Keeneland

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Two weeks of one of the world’s largest and most successful thoroughbred breeding stock auctions comes to an end today, but the sales are not quite finished out at Keeneland.

However, this weekend it’s not horses that will be for bid inside the sales pavilion, instead, art.

Keeneland, along with Cross Gate Gallery present the 6th annual Sporting Art Auction taking place this Sunday.
Around 175 high quality pieces, including paintings and sculptures from well recognized artists will be offered to the public.

This year there is a very special addition, donated by Hall of Fame Trainer Bob Baffert, halter worn by triple crown winner Justify, as well as horseshoes worn by Justify and Triple Crown winner American Pharaoh.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from this specific memorabilia will be donated to the Ann Hanleys Parkinson’s Research Fund.

Doors open at noon this Sunday and the sales begins at 2 p-m.
