6 months after slayings, family hoping for clues
BARDSTOWN, Ky. (AP) — A central Kentucky family is hoping that clues or witnesses emerge six months after a mother and daughter were found slain in their home.
Police are still investigating the April 21 deaths of Kathy and Samantha Netherland, who lived just outside Bardstown. Kathy Netherland’s sister, Stacey Hibbard, told WDRB-TV in Louisville (http://bit.ly/10ngya0 ) she can’t understand why someone would kill the pair, but knows someone has information to solve the crime.
Family members say Samantha was beaten and her throat was slashed. Kathy was shot. Their bodies were found the next day.
About a week after the murders, police released a picture of a black Chevy Impala. Police believe whoever was in the car is responsible for the deaths.
