Harrodsburg business helps Rescue Mission with meals
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s a special time of year but for some, it’s not as special as some would like.
But a Harrodsburg employer is trying to help a Lexington agency make it a little brighter for several hundred families
Essity Corporation donated almost 700 meals to the Lexington Rescue Mission Wednesday. The donation is two meals for each of the company’s employees.
Volunteers will help the Mission distribute the meals to those in need across the community.
“This year it’s especially important and in think because of COVID, it’s been really tough especially on a lot of people we serve and also people can’t travel as much to be with their family so people are lonely maybe or alone and we really wanted to reach out to them and let know that somebody care about them,” said Rescue Mission Director Kim Livesay.
The Mission and its volunteers delivered meals Wednesday night.
