53-year-old man dead in hit and run in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A 53-year-old man is dead after a hit and run in Lexington Sunday morning.

Lexington police say the hit and run happened around 1:30 A.M. on West Loudon Avenue and North Broadway Street.

According to the Fayette county coroner 53-year-old Maurice Corneil Williams was on a moped when a car hit him.

Police say the the car described as a white car…then drove off from the scene before police arrived.

The Fayette County Coroner says Williams was taken to UK medical center where he later died.
