$5,000 Reward in dog dragging death

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A dog is the victim of a cruel and senseless act of violence in London, Kentucky.
The battered and bloody animal was found in a ditch off of Hwy. 1006 Tuesday morning. Laurel Co. Sheriff’s Office and Laurel Co. Animal Control were able to load the injured dog, and take him to the Cumberland Valley Animal Hospital. Medical personnel at the clinic say the dog was tied behind a vehicle and dragged.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the case and The Humane Society of the United States has offered a $5000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible.

Basil (as he was named by a woman who found him) died from his injuries.
