4th of July fireworks display looking for new home
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A popular July 4th fireworks display in Lexington is looking for a new home.
According to the Lexington Herald-Leader. R. J. Corman Company declined to allow the Downtown Lexington Corporation to use its property this year.
The agreement between the two was year-to-year, and the company could opt out of hosting the fireworks display at any time..
The downtown group tells the paper it hasn’t been easy finding a new place.
That’s because it needs 600 feet of clearance on either side of the launch site, and enough room to accommodate a lot of traffic.
