47-year-old woman killed in murder-suicide in Laurel Co.
LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) — A 47-year-old woman was killed in a murder-suicide on Monday in Laurel County.
Today, the London-Laurel Communications Center was called by a man who said he was called by a friend, who lived in Laurel County, who said he had shot his girlfriend.
Laurel County deputies responded to the home near Hal Rogers Parkway.
Deputies alongside the Laurel County Special Response Team went into the home and found a woman who had been shot.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies also found a man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The woman was 47 and the man was 49.
Their identities have not yet been released.
No other information was immediately available.
