4 injured in house explosion in Brandenburg, cause investigated
BRANDENBURG, Ky. (AP) – Officials say four people were injured when a house exploded in Kentucky.
News outlets report the explosion in Brandenburg happened shortly before noon Thursday on Old Ekron Road.
The injured were taken to hospitals, but the extent of their injuries wasn’t immediately known.
Brandenburg Police Chief Brian Haag says when crews arrived at the scene, they found the four injured people in the front yard. He says the cause of the explosion is under investigation.
Louisville Gas and Electric spokeswoman Chris Whelen says the company shut off natural gas to the area. But she says there is no confirmation of a problem with the gas lines.
