4 charged with murder of Laurel County woman plead not guilty
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Four people accused in the murder of a Laurel County woman were in court Wednesday.
Christy McFadden and her husband, Joseph McFadden, are charged with the murder of her mother, Sherry Rose.
According to investigators, Christy and Joseph McFadden got into a fight with Rose at her home on Thoroughbred Trail on June 15 and stabbed her.
Michael Hinkle, Rose’s ex-boyfriend, and Kody Hinkle helped them dispose of Rose’s body in a rural area of Clay County, according to police.
Joseph and Christy McFadden are charged with murder.
Michael and Kody Hinkle are charged with tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.
All four entered not guilty pleas on Wednesday.
Joseph and Christy McFadden are each being held on $250,000 cash bond.
Kody and Michael Hinkle are each being held on $10,000 cash bond.
They will be back in court on June 26 at 11 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
