3rd annual DV8 run raises funds for construction of new DV8 Kitchen

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The 3rd annual DV8 K life changing run was held at Keeneland today to raise funds for construction of a new DV8 Kitchen.

As last year’s run was cancelled due to COVID-19, Saturday’s event was a special one. Rob Perez of DV8 Kitchen spoke about the second chances that the restaurant provides it’s employees.

“Well this is the third annual in 4 years. We are doing this to try and extend the opportunity of employment to people that are in a second chance position when they’re recovering from substance abuse disorder. And the whole bakery, all of the DV8 Kitchen is designed to give second chances to folks like that” said Perez.

The second DV8 location, a thousand square foot bakery, will be opening on August 30th.
