31st Annual Stars Gala Hosted by St. Joseph Hospital
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The 31st Annual Stars Gala to benefit Saint Joseph Hospital’s Emergency Department renovation will be held Saturday, November 9th at the Lexington Center.
The gala is hosted by the Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation. The foundation said last years gala raised around $140,000 to benefit the hospital’s Emergency Department and $1.6 million for mission and outreach services over the past few years.
The foundation president Leslie Smart said they expect around 500 guests to attend.
“With support from generous donors and friends, we will continue to improve emergency services in the Lexington community,” said Smart.
A cocktail reception wills start at 6:30 p.m. along with a silent auction which will be followed by an awards presentation and dinner at 7:30 p.m.
The foundation will be honoring Dr. Jessica Croley as 2019 Saint Joseph East Physician of the Year and Dr. Kevin Donahue as Saint Joseph Hospital Physician of the Year. The Hillenmeyer family will also be recognized as the 2019 Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation’s Community Philanthropist of the Year, according to the foundation’s press release.
There will be live music and dancing after these events around 8 p.m. The silent auction will close for bidding at 10 p.m.
