3 Women On Kentucky Supreme Court For The First Time In History

Three female justices now sit on the bench of the Kentucky Supreme Court for the first time in history.

Court of Appeals Judge Michelle Keller has been appointed by Governor Beshear. Before being elected to the court of appeals, Keller practiced law for 17 years, and served as a chairwoman of the Kentucky Personnel Board.

Keller takes Justice Will Schroeder’s seat. He stepped down in January, citing he had been diagnosed with a brain tumor, and wanted to spend more time with family.
