#3 Kentucky sweeps #2 Texas, remains undefeated in SEC
AUSTIN, Tx. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – No. 3 Kentucky volleyball moved to a perfect 11-0 in conference after defeating the No. 2 Texas longhorns in Austin on Sunday afternoon.
The wildcats didn’t just beat Texas, they swept them. In front of a sold-out crowd of 4,155 fans, Kentucky took down the longhorns in three straight sets, delivering one of their most complete performances of the season.
Sophomore sensation Eva Hudson led the way with 20 kills, while Brooklyn DeLeye followed close behind with 18. The wildcats’ offense was nearly unstoppable, recording 52 kills with just 11 errors on 116 total swings.
With the win, Kentucky extends its winning streak to 15 matches and remains undefeated on the road this season.
The wildcats now head to Columbia on Thursday at 7 p.m. to face Missouri.
