3 indicted, for murdered UK student

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — Three have been indicted, for the murder of a University of Kentucky Student.

According to court documents, Efrain Diaz Jr., Justine Delone Smith and Roman Gonzalez Jr. have been charged with murder, as well as two counts of first degree robbery. Although he is 17, officials say Gonzalez is being tried as an adult.

On top of his other charges, Smith is being charged with fleeing police and tampering with evidence.

Aaron Gillette and Jonathan Krueger had been on their way home when confronted by the three other men. According to detective Reed Bowles, the  three robbed Krueger and Gillette.  Although Gillette managed to get away, Krueger had been fatally shot that day

Smith and Diaz have arraignments scheduled for July 2, while officials say Gonzalez will be held in the detention center until he turns 18. His arraignment will be on July 10. .
