3 Children, Woman Found After Getting Lost Off Pulaski Co. Trail

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – 3 children, aged 5, 10, and 13, along with a woman that had gotten lost off a trail in Pulaski County have been found.

The group went hiking yesterday at around 2:00 p.m. on a trail near the Pulaski – Laurel County line.

When they didn’t return, Kentucky State Police, Laurel County law enforcement, and Kentucky Fish & Wildlife teams set out to search for them.

Fortunately for the hikers, one the the children was carrying a reflective toy in his pocket, which ended up saving the day when a search helicopter saw light coming from it.

The hikers were found Monday morning in the woods off of Victory Beach Creek Road in Pulaski County.

Officials say all four are safe.  The three children were taken to Somerset Hospital to be checked out.

Two of the children’s father spoke with ABC 36 News, saying he felt helpless as he waited to hear word from rescuers. His daughter, Addison, one of the children lost also spoke to ABC 36 News. She says at a certain point she wondered if she’d ever see anyone again.
