3 arrested following shooting, burglary in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Officers find one man shot, another assaulted and a stolen gun while investigating a burglary over the weekend in Frankfort.

The Frankfort Police Department says it received several calls about shots fired in the Leawood Drive area just before 2 a.m. Sunday.

Police were then told someone had been shot.

Police say they arrived at the scene and found bullet holes in the front door of an apartment and a man inside the apartment suffering from injuries from an assault during a burglary.

They say the man told them he had been struck in the head with a handgun during the burglary.

He was taken to the hospital to be treated.

Officers say bullet holes were also found in a vehicle in the parking lot along with several shell casings.

Police say their investigation lead them to an apartment on Deepwood Drive, where they found four men, one with a gunshot wound to the arm.

They say they also found three guns, one that was confirmed stole from Lexington.

Police say they arrested 19-year-old Gabriel Williams and charged him with burglary and receiving stolen property (firearm).

They also arrested 18-year-old Devon Sandusky and 19-year-old Dakeyione Jackson and charged them with robbery, burglary, and receiving stolen property (firearm).
