3 arrested after car chase in Laurel Co.

LONDON, Ky. – (WTVQ) – Troopers patrolling in Laurel Co. got more than they bargained for when they pulled over a car with expired registration.  According to investigators, when they stopped the car and went to talk with the driver, she took off on us 25 toward London.

Troopers say they pursued the car for about 8 miles, and say the driver was swerving, and intentionally hit two different patrol cars in an attempt to knock them off the roadway.  Troopers were able to perform a PIT (Pursuit Intervention Technique) maneuver as the driver was approaching London city limits.

The driver, Tiffany J. Hotaling, 23, was arrested and charged with Fleeing Police, Wanton Endangerment, and Resisting arrest among other charges.  Two passengers in the vehicle were also arrested.  Felicia E. McQueen, 21, of Corbin, was charged with Public Intoxication, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense and resisting arrest.  Also, Daniel C. Ball, 22, of London, was charged with Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest.

All three were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
